Mission Statement

Lone Pine State Park is devoted to enhancing the community's connection to the outside world. Through our interactive exhibits and educational programs we strive to inspire future generations to be conscientious stewards of the land.

Description

Lone Pine State Park overlooks the breathtaking Flathead Valley in Kalispell, Montana. On a clear day you can catch a glimpse of Flathead Lake, the Jewel Basin, and Glacier National Park. With over 7 miles of trails, Lone Pine is the ideal place to snowshoe, horseback ride, bike, and hike! We are proud to offer seasonal interpretive events and educational programs for community members and visitors to the Flathead Valley.

Our visitor center is open year-round and features interactive displays and activities for all ages. Visitors can learn how to respectfully live amongst the creatures, big and small, that inhabit Montana's parks and even their own backyard.

Volunteers are an important part of the Lone Pine family. From working at the front desk to leading a field trip hike, there are opportunities for everyone to get involved!
