The Cherryland Humane Society is an independent 501 c3 nonprofit organization that shelters stray and previously owned cats and previously owned dogs. It adopts those animals into responsible, humane homes. The CHS currently conducts over 25 programs designed to provide vital and significant help for pets. Those programs include pet exercise, socialization, training, and rehabilitation, pet health, benevolence, and humane education and public awareness. One of the goals of the CHS is to work to bring resolution to the many problems that pets face, including the very serious pet overpopulation problem, pet neglect, and pet abuse.
