Seafair Foundation

Organizational Background: The Seafair Foundation was formed to direct Seafair's community events, educational and environmental programs, as well as our volunteer recruitment. The Seafair Foundation supports the mission of the Seafair Festival to "Celebrate and Connect the Community Spirit of Greater Seattle". The Seafair Foundation is run in collaboration with the Seafair Festival, a six-week long summer celebration in the Seattle area. Seafair (festival organization) is a 501c4 non-profit organization, which has managed these educational and community programs until the foundation was formed this September. The Foundation is an outgrowth of Seafair and shares common officers and directors. The two entities will operate in a coordinated manner with respect to facilities, programs, employees and other activities. Our goal is to increase funding opportunities for foundation programs to manage the charitable activities previously conducted by Seafair and to increase their measurable impact on the community.
