Are you looking for ways to make a difference in people's lives? Consider becoming a hospice volunteer and bringing joy, happiness, caring, and compassion to patients and families. Volunteers build relationships through conversation, playing games, reading, music, or other activities. We also have office opportunities helping with administrative or creative projects. Veterans can connect with other veterans (we actively participate in the We Honor Veterans program). Therapy dogs are also welcome. Volunteer training is provided.

Do you have a certified therapy pet who would enjoy bringing joy and comfort to someone who needs a pet's special kind of love? Heartland Hospice has seen patients responding to animals in a special way. We are expanding our therapy pet program to meet the needs of more patients in their homes, assisted living facilities, and skilled nursing facilities. We offer flexible schedules, orientation, and on the job training. Any pets (dogs, cats, other) with therapy certifications are welcome.
