Mission Statement

The Sacramento Hospice Consortium was formed in 1982 to coordinate local volunteer training and education, community relations and peer support among the not-for-profit Medicare Certified Hospices in the Greater Sacramento Area. Programs are managed individually but work collaboratively in a non-competitive environment which serves the ultimate goal of providing quality care to our patients and their families.

Description

Our Hospice Members are all Not-for-Profit organizations and here are a few reasons why you should consider volunteering for them:

  • We’re mission-driven
  • We’re about people, not profit
  • We’re focused on quality of care, not quantity
  • We’re committed to the communities we serve
The Sacramento Hospice Consortium provides in person training for those wishing to volunteer for our member organizations: Kaiser Hospice, Sutter Care at Home/Roseville, Sutter Care at Home/Sacramento, UC Davis Hospice and Yolo Hospice. Each hospice has varied opportunities for volunteering.
