Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
Hospice is a form of compassionate and quality care for people facing a life-limiting illness or injury. The word itself dates back to the Middle Ages and meant "a place of safe haven for travelers, pilgrims and the sick. Today, hospice is a special program, often provided in a patient's home, designed to make their end of life experiences a positive one. Rather than trying to cure an illness, hospice's goal is to make the patient comfortable, ease their pain and other troublesome symptoms and support the family through this challenging time.
For volunteers, hospice enables you to make a valuable difference in the quality of a person's life as it nears its end. We become like extended family for our patients. The importance of our volunteers cannot be overstated!
To ensure a higher quality of medical as well as general care while enhancing the final moths, weeks, or days of life for our patients and their families.
