Mission Statement

The Mission of the North American Vasa is to promote the sport of cross-country skiing in Northwest Lower Michigan by organizing and conducting ski events which are economical, fun and community oriented for skiers of all ages and abilities.

Description

The North American Vasa conducts cross-country ski races of various distances on the 2nd weekend of February with the start and finish at the Timber Ridge RV & Recreation Park in Traverse City, MI. Cross-Country Ski Clinics and Workshops are also conducted prior to the races for instructional and fitness purposes. A special non-competitive tour will also be held on Valentine's Day giving participants an opportunity to "Ski with Your Sweetie" , or friend on the groomed trails with music, food and special treats provided
