Wildfires are devastating communities across California, causing more than 300,000 people to evacuate their homes and threatening many more. The Camp Fire in Northern California -- one of three blazing across the state -- is the most destructive in state history. We want to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you find access to shelter. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know the most effective ways to contribute.
Blessing the homeless children of Las Vegas with our "Blessing Bus" fillled with school supplies, clothing, daily necessities and annual birthday gifts
The Blessing Club is based on the dream of a nine year old girl, named Bella who wanted to help her fellow classmates who’s parent’s had a difficult situations happen in their lives which prevented them from providing school supplies and daily necessities. When we hear of homeless, our first thought is a person holding a sign begging for money and not necessarily the children. There are numerous support systems set up to help homeless adults but very few that specialize in providing for the kids who are either homeless or on the brink. While preparing to start the school year, Bella had her AHA! moment...why not provide "backpacks" to the less fortunate children in Las Vegas through our "Blessing Bus", a mobile unit that allows children to "shop" free of charge for school supplies, clothing, daily necessities and an annual birthday gift.
The Blessing Club allows children the opportunity to make a difference and pave the way for all of our children to make this world a better place. We have ongoing meetings, project, outings and events to support valuable life lessons such as gratitude, understanding life goals, managing money and respect for others. It is through volunteer involvement and family participation that our club/foundation will be successful.
