Mission Statement

Cleveland MOTTEP's mission is to decrease the number and rate of people in need of organ and tissue transplants and to increase the number of organ donors in the Greater Cleveland African-American community.

Description

Cleveland Minority Organ Tissue Transplant Education Program (MOTTEP) educates the community on the importance of organ and and tissue donation. We do not procure/recover organs or have involvement with the national waiting list but we work collaboratively with the local Organ Procurement Organization.

Cleveland MOTTEP executes two Teen Summits each year, one in the Spring and one in the Fall. Each summit is a full day of programming designed for over 150 youth to be educated on the importance of organ and tissue donation, transplantation, body and kidney health, healthy lifestyle choices, and healthy decision making.
