Mission Statement

New Education for Radical Development (iNERDE) is a social enterprise with a plan for radical development in Africa. Our mission is to empower African youth by providing them the opportunity to attain their fullest potential. iNERDE grassroots plan for radical development in Africa is through its customized STEM Summer Camps that shall coach African youth on problem-solving, innovation, entrepreneurship, integrity, self-confidence, teamwork and, of course, the STEM skills needed to succeed in the modern world.

Description

iNERDE is a bridge between alternate universes - the high-tech world and developing countries in Africa. The bridge is education, iNERDE adapts tech world concepts like hands-on STEM project-based curriculum and hour-of-code to an African context and combines it with African values. We teach kids skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the modern world -from DNA to wireless networking-, we teach innovation, we tap in to the amazing entrepreneurship already blossoming everywhere in Africa, and infuse everything we teach with an emphasis on social responsibility and commitment to community.
