New Paradigm Venture Philanthropy

Foundations usually try to solve the major social problems of our day - such as poverty, homelessness, global warming, and lack of healthcare - by making grants to nonprofits.

Yet, the lack of grant money did not cause these social problems.

Instead, they are often attributable to market failures, where a misalignment between social goals, and economic incentives has created or perpetuates social ills.

For example, recently it was reported that The knowledge Gap is the gap in standards of living between those who can find, create, manage, process, and disseminate information or knowledge, and those who are impaired in this process.

We aid in the realignment by engaging activities that foster volunteerism and mutual respect, and education targeted to closing the gap of knowledge as we move to new economies.

For one this org has provided support to Make a Difference Day for over 14 years, and provided numerous young people with the chance to find out what makes America great. I would highly recommend getting to know the organizers.
