Cradle Cincinnati

Description

Cradle Cincinnati is an organization composed of city leaders united against infant mortality. We represent a partnership among the city and county, maternity hospitals, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, and local health and civic organizations. We believe that many infant lives could be saved if, as a community, we invest in three key areas: maternal smoking cessation, infant safe sleep, and planning at least 12 months between pregnancies. Our comprehensive strategies involve consistent messaging through public health education campaigns, standardizing medical care across providers, and empowering local residents to advocate for change in their physical environment that support mom and baby’s health development.
