To utilize our participation in FIRST as a building block for our experiences in real world engineering scenarios; to graciously work as individuals with talents in engineering as well as with the community; to learn from ourselves, and one another as a team. Using our talents to challenge the next generation to come into engineering and science and fill the shoes of our predecessors and to exceed expectations for the future by teaching engineering through robotics
Screaming Chickens 42 is a year round 501(c)3 non-profit organization which is run as an after school club teaching engineering, computer programming, and web design. Our officers are the teens who are in charge of the positions with mentors guiding them through the different skills required to enter the engineering field. We are building leaders who give back to the community while preparing them for the workforce and/or college. We are founded on the principles of teamwork, communication, and the application of knowledge in a technical world- we provide hands on experience for the knowledge taught. Worcester Polytech Institute President Berkley states that our nation badly needs a new generation of highly capable scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs and leaders of new technology. We are actively involved in rebuilding our economy and asserting responsible leadership in the world. Solving massive problems of hunger, health, energy and peace will depend on gracious leadership, scientific technological expertise and compassion through the understanding of human needs and potential. Our mentors and members understand that need and seek to advance knowledge and to educate members in science, technology, engineering and math subjects.
100% of all donations goes directly to supplies and the program. Our mentors are volunteers.
