To provide our students an academically rigorous and well-rounded education, along with strong character development, that will enable them to prosper in top middle schools and beyond.

Description

Amber Charter School was founded in 2000 as the first Latino-led charter school in New York State by the Association of Progressive Dominicans (ACDP), a community based organization. Our school is located in East Harlem and serves over 500 students in grades K to 5.

Amber was granted a second charter by the SUNY Charter School Institute to replicate their model in CSD 6. This is an exciting expansion that will enable us to serve more students and families.
