Parkview Health will provide quality health services to all who entrust their care to us, and we will work to improve the health of our communities.
Parkview Home Health & Hospice provides professional health care in the privacy of homes and in many area long-term care facilities. As a service of Parkview Health, we are a not-for-profit agency providing services to meet our patient and caregivers special needs. We are also licensed by the state of Indiana, accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, and certified by Medicare and Medicaid, with locations in Columbia City, Fort Wayne, Huntington and Kendallville, serving northeastern Indiana.
I originally became involved with Parkview Hospice in 1998 when my mom was a patient. I can't say enough about the entire staff-they were wonderful: caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, and supportive of my mom, my family, & I. About a year after my mom died, I became a volunteer and was a volunteer in the office for about 2 years until we moved to Colorado. A little over 2 years ago, I decided it was time to get back to volunteering for Parkview Hospice. Since then, I have visited patients, helped with maintaining volunteer records, assisted with memorial services, done mailings, stocked inpatient Hospice supplies, and entered surveys results in the computer. I really enjoy volunteering for Parkview. Everyone is helpful and appreciative. I love the camaraderie and support of all the staff-it's like my home away from home! Thank you for all you do!
I enjoy the freedom of setting up my own times, but more importantly I enjoy just talking and listening to the clients. It is very gratifying to know I am giving the caregivers an opportunity to go out to eat, shopping, etc.
