Mission Statement

Music On The Inside (MOTI) connects incarcerated and and court-mandated youth, and others in corrections, with seasoned musicians to offer performances, music education, mentorships, inspiration and hope through the rehabilitative power of music.

Description

Music on the Inside, Inc. includes music instruction, creative development, performance opportunities and personal mentorships with professionals who have made music their life. Wynton Marsalis is MOTI’s Artistic Advisor and many other prominent musicians are participating. Along with performances, music education and mentorship, MOTI aims to play an advocacy role for the rehabilitative value of music in corrections.

Specific current needs are for experienced fundraisers and administrative assistance.
