The Bartow History Museum documents the history of NW Georgia’s Bartow County, spanning more than 200 years. Artifacts, photographs, documents, & a variety of interactive permanent exhibits tell the story of settlement, Cherokee life and removal, Civil War strife, & lifestyles of years past. There is also an extensive archives & research library containing photographs, documents, newspapers, rare books, genealogy records, oral history interviews, & more.

The Booth Western Art Museum houses the largest permanent exhibition space for Western art in the country. Galleries feature contemporary Western American art, historic Western art, Civil War art, Presidential portraits & letters, Western movie posters, & Western illustration. Sagebrush Ranch is an interactive gallery for children of all ages. The Museum hosts six to ten temporary exhibits per year.

Tellus is a world-class museum, featuring four main galleries: The Weinman Mineral Gallery, The Fossil Gallery, Science in Motion & The Collins Family My Big Backyard. A 120-seat digital planetarium & an observatory with a state-of-the-art 20-inch telescope is also located at Tellus. Eye-popping exhibits like an 80 foot-long Apatosaurus, a replica Wright flyer, and dazzling gems & minerals excite & amaze visitors of all ages. Children will have a blast conducting hands-on experiments with light, sound, magnets & more.
