"Dedicated to preserving the safety of the men and women who serve our community"The Volunteer Emergency Service Team (V.E.S.T.) of Saint Joseph County, Indiana is a group of self-trained volunteers who feel that by donating their time they can assist local Police, Fire and EMS agenciesand protect the community.Pride and Professionalism is our motto and that is exactly what we try to bring to volunteer emergency services in the county. Our mother organization is the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and our primary responsibility is to respond to official EMA activities and assist local law enforcement and their counterparts. We are committed to help any Public Safety entity that requests our assistance and we are dedicated to preserving the safety of the men and women who serve our community.

Description

Our group's primary responsibility is to serve Saint Joseph Counties Public Safety Agencies in Traffic and Crowd control for any type of emergencies, Be it man made or natural. We also assist the local area Search and Rescue Dog Team "NISAR" with logistic and back up personnel, we also assist ALL the local Fire Services with Firefighter Rehabilitation "REHAB".
