Mission Statement

Green Bay Community Theater strives to enrich the culture of northeastern Wisconsin with the production of plays to entertain its audience and provide a creative opportunities for everyone choosing to participate, on-stage or off-stage.

Description

Green Bay Community Theater, founded in 1936, is a volunteer board-run organization that is responsible for producing four plays a year with the assistance of volunteer actors, crew and staff. Plays are generally Broadway comedies, mysteries, dramas and musicals whose actors are generally area people who are chosen via public auditions. We own our own playhouse in the central city which is staffed by a Theater Manager and Master Carpenter. Ticket prices are kept low to accommodate the general public, but that and donations are the sole support of the organization. It is a property- and sales-tax-paying, 501(c)(3) organization, receiving no financial support from government entities.
