Mission Statement
MATHS' Mission is to provide an intellectually rigorous, personalized and supportive college-preparatory education to 6 th-12 th grade students with an emphasis on the biotechnology, health science, and engineering fields.
We are currently looking to expand this mission in to the DC area and are applying to open a DC charter school in 2012.
Description
MATHS is a public charter school within the Baltimore City Public School System (BCPSS), located in the Park Heights neighborhood in Northwest Baltimore. The Eudaimonia Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, operates the school under a charter agreement with BCPSS. The Eudaimonia Foundation will be expaning it's mission and services to the DC area in 2011-2012 by opening a DC charter school
MATHS has no entrance criteria and is open to all Baltimore City students. A majority of the students entering MATHS come from academically and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Despite these daunting challenges, our students have outperformed their peers in Baltimore City in statewide English and Math assessments.
