We exist to engage Boynton Beach citizens in diverse recreational experiences and to cultivate parks and open spaces.
The purpose of the Boynton Beach Recreation Division is to offer year-round diversified recreation services, ensuring that all citizens have equal opportunity for participation. The Recreation Division is comprised of program sections that operate a total of nine recreational facilities. These are the Art Center, Boat Club Park, Civic Center, Ezell Hester, Jr. Community Center, Intracoastal Clubhouse, Senior Center, Tennis Center and Sims Center & Denson Pool. The Parks Division is responsible for the planning, development, operation and maintenance of municipal parks. It also manages Oceanfront Park Beach and coordinates supplemental services from other city departments. The Parks Division currently manages 29 existing parks, totaling approximately 184 acres, and coordinates the management of an additional 200+ acres owned by outside agencies.
The City owns seven additional future park sites totaling over 65 acres. Planning activities continue for numerous potential park sites not yet owned by the City of Boynton Beach.
