This is a great organization. I trained with a representative from SAVAR to be a rape crisis advocate, utilized their services after my own crisis, and performed last year at their Take Back the Night rally in Auburn, NY. I would encourage anyone to volunteer with these great people (I will be seeking an internship with SAVAR soon). They provide a much-needed service to a county that is largely rural and where such resources would not be available were it not for them. SAVAR could improve by getting its name heard more often, however; it is something that everyone in Cayuga County should know about.
