Mission Statement

Home 2 Home’s purpose is to provide an environment for owners who are forced to surrender their pets due to lack of funds, relocation, sickness or incorrect environment for the needs of the animal. Our goal is to address the needs of the animals thru 24 hour interaction with humans, socialization between dogs of like energies and size and a daily exercise program utilizing specific outlets that are specific to meet the needs of each dog. With the proper balanced environment, level of human/dog interaction, we will present the true personalities of the animals we house to potential adopters making them more adoptable.

Description

H2H is not a traditional shelter. We consider ourselves more of an orphanage because we provide needs-based care. We temperament test all dogs to ensure a proper fit for our environment. We offer caring owners a worry-free option to re-home their pets when things don’t work out. Dogs are not remanded to cages with limited exposure to humans or other dogs. Instead, dogs are kept in small packs that are under consistent supervision (24/7) by their human pack leader. This allows for proper daily exercise and helps build and maintain good socialization skills with both dogs and humans.

At H2H we aim to present dogs’ natural personalities to better display them to prospective adopters. We re-home based on what each dog needs to succeed and give dogs a safe vacation-like environment to play and make friends. Home 2 Home is set upon 15 acres of land, plenty of room to meet all of our dogs exercise needs. Our canine residents have access to top notch trainers, veterinary care, and other amenities, such as constant fresh flowing water, always available beds, non-slick rubber floors, and wide open areas to run and play with their friends.

Kristin set us up with a emergency vet In a Sunday at their cost when their vet was busy with only the dogs best interest in mind. Can not say enough good things about H2H.
