Description

Chippewa National Forest is part of the US Forest Service, a multi-faceted agency that manages and protects 154 national forests and 20 grasslands in 44 states and Puerto Rico. The Chippewa National Forest manages over 667,000 acres of forest, lakes and wetlands. Themes include Ecosystems, Bald Eagles, Heritage and Lakes/Wetlands. Our visitors enjoy year-round recreation opportunities--including the popular summer campgrounds and Visitor Centers. The Forest is currently hoping to fill volunteer Visitor Center host positions for the summer 2016.
