Mission Statement

AC[Institute Direct Unlimited Chapel] mission is to advance the understanding of contemporary art through experimentation, research and education. It is a lab and forum for experimentation and critical discussion.

Projects explore the performative exchange across visual, verbal and experiential disciplines. Modes of critical writing that challenge conventional expectations of meaning and objectivity and the boundaries between the rational and subjective.

Description

We are a small non-profit art organization that exhibits hard to impossible to sell art, such as sound art, video art, installation and performance, from artists everywhere. We have taken space in Chelsea to exhibit. We also have an office and an archive. We do not ask artists for art or money. We do not sell art, we provide opportunities. Our projects are free and open to anyone. AC is 501 (c) 3.
