SDCOE-FYS responds to, assists and empowers all systems that support foster youth in achieving academic success. FYS programs are designed to prepare foster youth to become successful, self-sufficient and independent adults.

Description

Foster Youth Services is a grant-funded program (through the California Department of Education) that is responsible for improving the educational outcomes of all children and youth in foster care within San Diego County. SDCOE- FYS represents a partnership among San Diego County's key stakeholders focused on improving the educational outcomes of wards and dependents, ages 4 to 21, residing in licensed children's institutions, foster family agency and county foster homes.
