WECAN Food Basket is designed to provide food for families and individuals who may have low or fixed income, and therefore may find it hard to make ends meet at the end of the month. This program addresses poverty reduction and food security in a concrete way. We have a community model for our volunteer base and our program offers food is paid for at the beginning of the month and then picked up on the 3rd week of the month. We expect our members will not be lifetime members but if you're looking for food to fill your fridge, we can help. With our buying power, we can offer 3 types of fresh friut and 3 types of vegetables and 3 freshly frozen meat, monthly for $25CAD.
