We are looking for individuals to volunteer as a rape crisis advocate for our center. As a volunteer you will receive training that will certify you as a Rape Crisis Advocate for LA county. This training will include: crisis intervention, the history and impact of rape myths, counseling techniques, legal prosecution, and much more. To become an RCA we ask for you to complete our 60 hour training, commit to 1 year of working a 6.5 hour shift once a week and attend 2 2-hour supervisions a month. You are able to choose your shift for we are 24/7 and shift consists of answering hotline calls and meeting a survivor at the hospital after a report has been made.
