Mission Statement

Readers Ignite is a children's literacy charity, looking for innovative ways to impact a child's desire to learn, grow and aspire. We believe that children in at-risk areas can be positively impacted by getting reading resources to them and educating the caregivers in these communities.

Description

Readers Ignite works in three areas. First, we work to educate parents and caregivers of at-risk children regarding the links between improved literacy and improved scholastic records. We also work to connect area children to reading resources through community events and community outreach. Lastly, we work to get books to at-risk children, in their own homes as well as in preschools and daycares.
