Description

The Salvation Army is present in 104 countries spreading the gospel and providing countless social services to those in need, regardless of ethnic origin or religion. Local corps are responsible for local programs which can range from emergency shelters to long term treatment centers for addictive personalities, from day care centers to summer youth camps and weekly youth group activities, from hospital visitation to nursing home services, from community betterment programs to sitting as an advisory member of the United Nations Human Services Council.
