Mission Statement

The Los Alamos Master Gardeners is associated with the Los Alamos Extension Service. Its mission is to promote knowledgeable, effective, and safe horticultural and gardening parctices in furtherance of New Mexico Sate University's Cooperative Extension Service; and to promote goodwill in our community by participating in horticultural and educational service projects.

Description

The Los Alamos Master Gardeners develop and maintain the Los Alamos Demonstration Garden. They provide community education by sponsoring public programs on horticultural issues and by sponsoring bi-annual garden tours. They work with the youth of the community to expose the youth to good horticultural practices.
