Mission Statement

Project Literacy, a program of the Watertown Free Public Library, helps adult learners to: Improve their ability to read, write, and converse in English. Gain access to community resources, help their families, and attain better jobs. Become integrated into their communities. We are creating a network in which learners, volunteer tutors, and professional teachers share their knowledge and experience to benefit all.

Description

For ov

Project Literacy offer six levels of ESOL classes, computer classes for ESOL students, free monthly Immigration Clinics, conversation groups and one-on-one tutoring. Our list of people in the community who want to improve their English is long. You don’t need prior teaching experience. Tutors report that they feel they gain as much as their learners by the relationships they build.
