Volunteers Needed Start! making a difference
Since 1924, the American Heart Association has been combating cardiovascular disease and stroke, the nation's #1 and #3 leading causes of death. We need your help.
On November 1, thousands of people from across the Greater Washington Region will descend on the National Mall for the Start! Heart Walk, a signature event of the American Heart Association that raises funds for research and education programs across the country. Ninety-three cents of every dollar donated to this event goes directly back into the lifesaving mission of the American Heart Association, helping us build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Volunteers are needed for a variety of volunteer job posts the day of the event, including participant registration, hosting activity tents, event set up and breakdown, encouraging and motivating walkers and much more! Interested in joining us for the morning? Register as a member of our volunteer team by sending an email to email@example.com or by calling TJ Gioconda at (703) 248-1715. Most volunteers will be needed some time between 7:00 am and 1:00 pm. Volunteers must be 18 or older or be accompanied by an adult and will be trained when they arrive the morning of the event. Drinks and snacks will also be available when you arrive. When you check in, you will receive your complimentary sweatshirt and then be dispatched to your location.
