Mission Statement

The Tesfa Foundation expands opportunities for children and youth where the necessary resources to build self-reliance are inadequate. We strengthen families and communities in ways that make for sustainable networks to support children and youth properly.

Description

The Tesfa Foundation has opened five schools for needy chidren in Ethiopia in five years, focusing primarily on kindergarten ages. We provide livelihood options for mothers of our children, and organize parents into community associations that will advocate for families in need. We also work with teenage girls at risk through an innovative program called Team Tesfa, providing safe homes and education to young athletes in the capital city of Addis Ababa.
