Mission Statement

Women's Gathering Place where a woman without a home can find the support of other women, connect to vital services, and find respite, spiritual renewal, and joy when there is nowhere else to go but the street.

Description

The Women's Gathering Place (WGP) provides a safe place for women who are
homeless or at risk of homelessness to eat a hot meal, select donated toiletries and
clothing, use the bathroom, rest, and enjoy a connection with other women. WGP is a
collaborative effort of First Presbyterian Church and caring women in the greater San
Jose community. WGP currently opens its doors two days a week from 12 to 4. Meals are
provided by volunteers who typically stay
