Mission Statement
The mission of SGSM Network is to increase the quality of life while maximizing the talents of older adults in the metro St. Louis area. By increasing the quality of life, we seek to promote successful aging by supporting our seniors to live safely in their homes, lead a physically and spiritually active life and remain engaged in their community.
Description
SGSM Network, formerly South Grand Senior Ministry, was created in 2001 through a partnership of five Catholic parishes along the South Grand Corridor(south of Highway 44) in South St. Louis. Since 2001, we have expanded to five clusters: South Grand, Lindenwood, North County, Grand Center, and South County, respectively. In 2007, after a year of consultation, the Lindenwood cluster was able to run itself.
SGSM's purpose is to promote physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wellness among men and women 65 years and older with open heart and a commitment to the example of Jesus Christ.
