Girls Incorporated inspires girls to be strong, smart and bold. The mission of Girls Incorporated of Sarasota county is to help girls grow and work together in a climate of freedom and harmony; to help girls find their own identities; to develop their potential and to achieve a sense of responsibility to self, family, community, country and world; and to help girls of all racial, religious and economic backgrounds to live and develop creatively in a democratic society in a continuously changing world.

Description

Girls Incorporated is a national organizaiton that provides supplemental education programs for girls ages 6 to 18. Our 6 core program areas address: Careers and life Planning, Health and Sexuality, Leadership and Commuity Action, Sports and Adventure, Self-Reliance and Life Skills, Culture and Heritage. There are aftershool and summer programs that address math and science education, pregnancy prevention, media literacy, adolescent health, substance abuse prevention and sports particpation.

What a great place for girls to learn to value themselves! A well-rounded program for girls to see good role models, learn about their potential, learn to help younger girls, and see the future as offering myriad opportunities for further growth, education, and success.
