Metal Arts Association of Silicon Valley

The Metal Arts Association of Silicon Valley is a volunteer, California non-profit organization promoting the love of metal arts. MAASV was founded in March 2007 and as a new organization is still in the "startup phase" as we say here in Silicon Valley.

Metalsmithing, sculpture, interior décor, wire wrapping, furniture, silver metal clay, garden art, wall art - you name it, if it's about metal arts, we love it. Our goal is to encourage and support the metal artists through education, innovation, and community in the San Mateo and Santa Clara counties whether you're a beginning hobbyist, working professional or metal arts collector.

We aim to be the preeminent regional metal arts association in the Silicon Valley and the clear leader in the generation of new work and new artists, the launch pad of innovative metal artwork. We've set this goal in mind with our core values of Community, Education, Equality, Innovation, Quality, Respect.

MAASV's general membership meets four or more times each year to share live demos and lectures on metal arts topics. MAASV organized workshops range from introductory wirework techniques to advanced fabrication classes.
