Mission Statement

The Academy

As a private, not-for-profit, state approved school, Montgomery Academy was founded to serve students from five to twenty-one years of age. These are students who
are selected by their school districts as having social, emotional, and educational difficulties that cannot be remediated within their local or regional communities. They
require a specialized school environment geared to their needs. Montgomery Academy is a community of learners committed to providing a program that will prepare a student to succeed in the least restrictive setting. To accomplish this, an integrated curriculum comprised of active learning, skill application and conceptual development is united
within a therapeutic, supportive and nurturing environment.

Description

Montgomery Academy Foundation (MAF)

The Montgomery Academy Foundation funds educational opportunities with corporate, foundation and individual gifts and grants in support of the school community and its long range strategic goals. The Foundation seeks partnerships with business leaders, parents, alumni, teachers and the larger community to enhance the Montgomery Academy experience and ensure its future.

Parents and Teachers of Montgomery Academy (PTMA)

The Parents and Teachers of Montgomery Academy aspire to foster interdependent partnerships and fellowship between the Montgomery Academy faculty, administration and student families. The PTMA is dedicated to enhancing the educational and social experiences of the school's students, honoring their teachers, and advancing the school's mission by building
lifelong relationships, lifting school spirit, and delivering effective communications within the school community.
