Mission Statement

Nutrition Works is a sponsoring organization for family child care homes and child care centers who participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) in Idaho. The goals of CACFP are to help child care providers feed nutritious meals to children in their care and to help children develop early healthy eating habits.

Description

CACFP is a federally funded program administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Services (FNS). The goal of the program is to provide well-balanced nutritious meals to the participants in care at child care centers, family day care homes, outside school hour centers, at-risk afterschool centers, emergency shelters, and adult day care centers.
