The mission of Art Center Sarasota is to promote the expression of, and appreciation for the visual arts enriching the community through exhibitions, education, and services.
Description
Art Center Sarasota is the leading non-profit visual arts organization in Sarasota. The center offers a variety of programs to our community. Through exhibitions, education, and outreach, we provide a destination for all visual artists in Sarasota.
Our commitment to promoting the educational and cultural advantages of the visual arts in Sarasota continues today exactly as it was written into our charter over 80 years ago.
We proudly present master workshops instructed by world renowned artists and classes taught by professional local artists. Our exhibitions feature fine art from local, national, and international artists. We have four galleries which showcase a variety of themes. Our outreach programs have a tremendous effect on the youth and elderly citizens of Sarasota. We provide a destination for kids and teens to learn about fine art and the fundamentals of painting, ceramics, sculpture, and textiles. We also provide instructors that travel to senior living facilities to conduct fine arts workshops.Reviews

The time passes quickly. The kids are pretty well behaved and they're fun to work with. It's mostly just cleaning up messes, getting supplies, and making sure the kids don't get into trouble. I enjoyed this opportunity.
