To assist victims of crime, whether criminal or civil, by providing them with tools and information in a supportive environment that empowers them, and facilitates an atmosphere that prevents re-victimization.

Description

The Victims ' Assistance Program provides support for victims through the investigation and prosecution of the criminal case. The program employs Victim Advocates, who work with victims and the District Attorney's staff. The District Attorney's Office prosecutes criminal offenses.
