STREETSMART4KIDS™

Description

STREETSMART4KIDS™ organizes an annual six-week campaign to raise funds to prevent youth
homelessness in San Francisco. The mission of STREETSMART4KIDS is to increase
community awareness about the needs of at-risk and homeless youth in San Francisco and to
spearhead a broad collaborative effort through fundraising from community sources and
restaurant diners to increase resources for under-funded services.
Each year, our goal is to raise funds to support one or more community organizations that serve
homeless and at-risk youth. With the support of corporate and foundation sponsors and
individual donors, we partner with numerous restaurants across the city to bring a public
awareness message directly to the dining-out public. Diners are invited to add $3.00 - or more -
to their checks at the end of a meal. Volunteers for STREETSMART4KIDS provide campaign
information at every restaurant table, arrange for wait staff to invite contributions, and supply
special envelopes for cash and check gifts.
