Mission Statement

Rat Terrier ResQ is a dog rescue group that takes the American Rat Terrier from our nation's shelters when they face euthanasia. We place them in foster homes and get the veterinary care they need. We train them to be well-behaved family members, and eventually place them in carefully-screened adoptive homes that fit their needs. All our dogs are spayed or neutered before adoption, no exceptions, and we also help educate the public about the necessity to spay and neuter to help decrease the severe overpopulation of dogs.
