Mission Statement

Remedee is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping young people discover their voices through media. We believe that everyone has a story to tell but too few have the opportunity to tell it. Our mission is to amplify the voices of our next generation by providing youth with the resources and education to create change.

Description

Remedee improves the quality of life of the youth that we work with and the communities of which they are an essential part through our In the Classroom Film Academy, Reel Lives, and Reel Earth programs. The purpose of these programs is to provide artistic education opportunities to youth from economically disadvantaged communities by creating a replicable capacity building and leadership development documentary filmmaking and new media program. Reel Earth also provides these youth the opportunity to express their concerns about today's environmental crisis through film. We are seeking funding for our In the Classroom Film Academy and Reel Earth programs.

Remedee believes in inspiring young people who are faced with social and economic hardship to embrace the importance of becoming global citizens. By connecting the impact of these issues with the reality of their lives, young people have an opportunity to directly impact their own communities in positive ways. From increasing community awareness of environmental issues to taking an active role in strategies for sustainable growth, our Reel Earth program enables the younger generation to become the advocate for change in their communities by making the job of protecting the environment relevant and defined.
