Mission Statement

Empowered Gifts’ mission is to expand economic opportunities to disadvantaged and domestically abused women through financial literacy education to regain their dignity through economic empowerment. Through gifting resources and skill based training resulting in successful employment or entrepreneurial endeavors.

Description

Empowered Gifts organization (EGO) was created as a call to action to assist disadvantaged and domestically abused women living in shelters as they recover, rebuild and try to regain employment. Over the past three (3) years, EGO has gifted new or loved professional Handbags to these women to heighten confidence, improve self-esteem and alternately symbolize where women carry their power. The focus of the gift is theinitial step in the interviewing processes, ensuring that each woman looks the part, regardless of her career choice. Empowering women one handbag at a time as they uncover their strengths and focus on their career goals... In 2016 Empowered Gifts will offers Career Internships\ Job Placements and Leadership Paneled Workshops for women.
