Mission Statement
The Epilepsy Foundation of Northern California is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization leading the fight to stop seizures, find a cure and overcome the challenges created by epilepsy. The Epilepsy Foundation of Northern California is dedicated to providing information, resources and support to the over 140,000 Northern Californians living with epilepsy. Our goal is to ensure that people with seizures are able to participate in all life experiences, to improve how the community views epilepsy, and to dispel myths about this condition by providing information through statewide training, events, and programs. The Epilepsy Foundation of Northern California serves 44 counties from the Oregon border down to Fresno County.
Description
Having epilepsy or caring for someone with epilepsy can present challenges. Sometimes even daily tasks that are often considered trivial or mundane-driving, managing medical insurance, working, building relationships-can be overwhelming. It helps to have people to talk to that understand what kind of support is needed.
The Epilepsy Foundation of Northern California strives to provide support to the entire community-groups for the general public that are all-inclusive, groups just for adults, for young adults, for children, for caregivers, for friends, and for family members, programs, events, and more!
