Mission Statement

SMALL STEPS is a non-profit, community based organization, which has a single event in November. Its mission is to buy warm jackets and shoes for deserving children who have been identified by their teacher. Teachers see the children on a daily basis and know which ones need help that parents are unable to provide. When a teacher identifies a child, their siblings are also included in the shopping trip. SMALL STEPS is totally funded by charitable contributions from the community and 100% of those donations go directly to the children.

Description

Small Steps is a non-profit community-based organization created to assist disadvantaged children Kindergarten through 8 th grade, purchase coats and shoes for the upcoming winter months. In order to accomplish this year's goal to assist at least 375 school children, we need help from the community. This years shopping trip will take place on Saturday November 8 th, 2008.
