Mission Statement

The Michigan Environmental Council - a 501(c)(3) charitable organization - is a coalition of 70 organizations created in 1980 to lead Michigan's environmental movement in achieving positive policy change. MEC is building a renewed environmental ethic among Michigan residents and leaders. We promote public polices to ensure that Michigan families will enjoy clear waters, clean beaches, beautiful landscapes and healthy communities for years to come.

Description

We provide opportuniities for volunteers and interns to do research on public policy issues and perform administrative tasks in our office (data entry, mailings, etc.). The nature and extent of available opportunities vary over the course of the year. Interested people are encouraged to call us to inquire about our need for help at any give time.
