Flat Rock E.S.T.E.A.M. Summer Camp

Mission Statement

E.S.T.E.A.M. stands for self-Esteem, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. E.S.T.E.A.M. is exploration, discovery and hands-on problem solving. Our Summer Camp is a program designed to encourage Middle School girls to prepare for future success by raising their self-esteem, and by spending time exploring careers that are associated with Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics. E.S.T.E.A.M. is an innovative and enriching summer camp for Middle School girls. While the camp has an academic focus, it is presented to campers in a hands on approach which includes self-esteem classes, the arts, field trips, and speakers who introduce each career and share their real life experiences in their field. Campers will also improve their presentation and math skills by focusing on the areas where they are the weakest. Doing research and learning more about STEAM will hopefully encourage camper to pursue careers in these fields.
